Thoughts on the General Election

 My thoughts on the forthcoming general election. Finally, people can take control of the ineffective parliament. It is clear that MP’s think they know better than the people. Brexit is the quintessential proof of this. This election will be for the people, in my opinion, a second vote on the EU referendum. I back this up by saying that the very, and the only reason we are having this general election is because parliament in the main wish to remain in the E.U. and they have continually and actively tried to either block, delay or reverse the referendum vote.

Democracy

However, for that very reason, the real reason when you bottom out the purpose of this election is not Brexit, but whether we want to uphold democracy. There have been many examples of this where unelected members and servants of the establishment have tried or are trying to take over democracy. A great example of this is when the Chief Executive of the Labour Controlled Wigan Council tried to illegally sack a democratically elected local councillor. This councillor was Steve Jones and I supported him, we went to the high court and won a unique and unprecedented case in British justice.

If the people do not gain back control and deliver a parliament that recognises the people’s voice and their democratic will and wishes then it will be disastrous.  Whether they agree or not with the people's voice they have to see how it fits in with their party’s pledges and deliver it. We are in a position now where politicians are putting the party before the people.

Party before the people

Wigan is a great example of this where 64% of people voted leave, but Lisa Nandy Labour MP has consistently blocked or tried to reverse the Brexit result, meaning that she has utterly ignored the wishes of her constituency. Therefore people like this need to be voted out as they are undemocratic, and anti democracy.

Don't take it for granted

In the last General Election, the Conservative’s were on a 20 point lead, Boris Johnson's conservatives currently enjoy a 13 point lead. Labour did well in the last General Election and therefore say they are 7 points ahead of where they were last time it gives them a great chance. However, parties do not always win elections,  you can mess up. Meaning that the candidate's or leaders blow it. A quintessential example of this is in 1992 when Labour Leader Neil Kinnock believed the win was in the bag and I think it was in Sheffield when he said, 'We are OK, we’ve done it' and people thought we haven’t even voted yet, and because he thought he had done it, supporters thought I don’t need to go and vote as they say they have done it, and other people that were going to support him said don’t take my vote for granted and either didn’t vote or voted elsewhere.

In the last General election Theresa May lost that 20 point lead because of her social care tax that she thought she could get through because of the lead. She attacked the very voters – the blue rinse brigade, so to speak. That would be like Labour saying we will scrap all benefits if we win. It was disastrous!

I am sure that many from all parties will have learnt from that stupid action by Theresa May, which was just like Neil Kinnock did in 1992 believing it was in the bag. Nobody should ever treat it as in the bag and still work until the end when they ring the bell. I would back that up with 2012 in my local election, it was clear I had overwhelming support and was highly probable that I was going to win, and many said; 'why are you doing another leaflet?' 'Why are you still canvasing?' Everyone should answer; it is never over as things can change overnight, and it did in 1992.

Double standards

Labour say that under the Tory's the NHS will be privatised. That is too late in many cases, as under Tony Blair it was Labour who not only privatised the NHS but gave parts of it away for free. I use Standish Medical Centre to back that quote up. This is where the previous building owned by the Council was sold to a private provider for £400,000. In that deal the private provider said they would build a great health centre fit for purpose. When the building was built it was not fitted out. The private provider then said to fit the building out it will cost, guess how much? You got it £400,000. Therefore handing back the £400,000 that the taxpayers had just received for the asset they have sold. 

On the matter of this election, people will be thinking that they are sick of Brexit and it comes down to who they believe they feel will deliver Brexit, but  by respecting the result of the 2016 referendum.  

Labour said they would go back to get another deal to leave the EU. How long will that take? They will put the result back to the people. What if they reject it? Would it be no deal then?

Lib Dems just want to give two fingers to the electorate who delivered the result to leave by saying sod you lot – we are going to do what we want – not what you want! Given that in 2010 they also said that if in power they would get rid of tuition fees and when they were in coalition with the Tories they failed to deliver that. So why believe them now? People say it is about who you trust and the partner of  the Lib Dems Leader works for a company that is funded by the EU, so therefore they need to be open and transparent.

On the Tuition failed promise the Lib Dems are thinking that those angry students are now 9 years older and they will not be voting in university cities were the Lib Dems think they are strong. But they know that they cannot count on that cohort so they came up with a new plan. Labour agree with this new plan – to allow 16 yr old's to be given the vote.

On this matter it is particularly interesting to me that Labour, Lib Dems and Greens say we want 16 and 17 Yr old's to vote. They have to say why it is important to them?  Especially when 18 – 80+ is a larger group to go at. The answer is that these parties know that they have lied so much over the years the larger group (18-80+) don’t trust these parties anymore, so they have to try to trick and lie to another newer group, this time the 16-18 yrs old's. A Good example of this is given that the students of 18+ back in 2010 who voted them into power, with the Tory’s, are now 27+, you have to ask yourself how many of those will be voting for the Lib Dems? I would guess not many given that the Lib Dems had lied and let this cohort down before.

A striking example

On 16 yrs old let's look at what Labour have said about the terrorist Shamina Begum, who went to Syria to join ISIS, Labour said: she was too young to have known her own mind when she went to join ISIS. Therefore how will 16 yrs old's know their own mind and who to vote for? Or are Labour hoping that their parents will tell them how to vote? We have all heard the phrase, I've voted Labour all mi' life, mi' dad was Labour and mi' granddad was Labour, we've always been Labour. 

Enter the Brexit Party

Therefore, you would think the Tory’s will run away with the election so long as they don’t do a Theresa May stupid trick. However, we have Boris saying the Do or Die, Die in a ditch, we will leave come what may on the 31st and here we are not leaving. So you have to think that the Brexit Party could do well. But given they are UKIP under a new name and UKIP never got an elected MP, therefore you wouldn’t think they would pull any off this time. But given that many people will see this election about Brexit, simpler to in the European elections for MEP’s  then this could be the best and last time for them to get elected. In seats like Wigan where it is a Leave constituency and the Labour MP has ignored them and voted to remain and block Brexit, the people of Wigan are unlikely to vote Tory, so if the Brexit candidate is a good, effective and charismatic one, then I might give them good odds on winning the seat.

Donna Hall - dangerous to democracy again

With Donna Hall be in the headlines for running GMP like a private Police Force she ism trying to fight back with trying to put out some article and counter any negativity with a look at me and my article

I guess some PR guru could have suggested that and that is fine maybe not too untypical but what is worrying is some of the content in the article. 

The article in the main talks about people being turned off from voting and engaging with democracy. I would agree with that sentiment and view. With low turnouts, I would believe that is also self-evident. When it comes to topics on Democracy I am a strong follower and that is one of the reasons I support Cllr Steve Jones when Donna Hall tried to illegally sack him. That story is here 

With that High Court Case in the back of the mind, it is worrying that in Donna Hall's article she states, and I quote - " We have to trial and test new and exciting models of democracy. " WHAT ON EARTH!!!!!! 

This is not only a shocking and worrying statement but also a dangerous one. Why? Simple! It is the people that should change not the system. Democracy has worked and been around for thousands of years and you have the people should have a democratic right to vote in and vote out who you want. Maybe when Donna Hall is talking of mending a shattered society with a new model of democracy maybe she is referring to sack elected members - of whatever political persuasion - when she or others like her don't like them. This was exactly what she tried to do when she tried, and lost monumentally, in the High Court when she tried to sack Cllr Steve Jones.

I would suggest people are turned off from engaging with democracy because a lot of people think - they are all the same, they are in it for themselves, they don't care about us or nothing ever changes. So where Donna Hall writing for the MJ suggests that new models of democracy should be tried I say NO - the people should change and ultimately the Joe Public have right to elect whoever they want, whether she or others like it or not.

Finally, she and others, need to remember we have freedom  of speech in this country even if we don't like what others say -ie \I don't like what she says in this article she has written, but I  understand that it is her right to write it, and I set out in this blog post why it is dangerous. 

The Times Exclusive

Last week the Times exclusively revealed operation Floret. This is a Great Manchester Police investigation into how the Former Chief Executive of Wigan Council and current chair of Bolton NHS trust and none executive chair of Birmingham Council ran GMP as a private police force locking up opposition Cllrs and former Cllrs for being critics of Wigan Council. Also using the police to try and intimidate them and breach basic human rights.

As one of the people that she sent round 7 police officers late one night to my house and carry out a whole lot of illegal; actions, which I have discussed on this blog before I put in a complaint last yr and I have learnt many things since that complaint and I have been aware and working with the senior officer of GMP carrying out Operation Floret for some time. I can safely say that the treatment I received has shocked not only the public but other Senior GMP officers as well. One telling me that the Police struggle with the resources they have, and in large, the vast majority of Police Officers do and try to do a good job for the public, but this just wipes all that goodwill and hard work out in one swoop.

Liar Donna Hall trys to put her spin on her lies

So a number of people have contacted me over the local rag’s article on the news that this blog broke earlier this week about 3 opposition members, who had finally been released with no further action taken against them, and the case that the liar Donna Hall made against them and myself was closed down.

What did the notorious liar do? Just as she has done in the past try and put her spin on it – bless! The local rag, that is sympathetic to her and her lies, write that it was due to the actions of Donna Hall herself that retracted her statement against the 3 that has caused the case to be closed. My view? LIAR!

It is well-proven, and evident, that this woman has form for this. When she is caught out with her lies, she runs for the hills trying to be the saviour. So she wants you all to believe that she made her serious allegations against the 3, and also myself that has cost taxpayers well over £1 Million pounds in this wasted investigations and then she suddenly says, “o Mr Police please drop it I will retract my allegation because I am a nice person”. Rubbish!

She made allegations against Cllr Bob Brierley about him attacking her and she gave the Police 5 witness statements, who were all her PA’s in her office. The police interviewed him saying that he had serious questions to answer, only for him to reply to all her allegations were lies, as he had recorded the whole thing. When he provided a copy of the tape to the Police guess what happened next? You got it the police dropped it and said she wanted to drop the allegations. So, she was caught out on yet another serious lie, that had he not got it taped and her 5 fake lyings PA’s statements where the evidence, there is a strong chance of a custodial sentence. She should have been arrested for that. But she got her bent GMP Copper friend to make sure that didn’t happen.

After this blog released news exclusively about Donna’s case being closed, Donna Hall quickly tried to do damage limitation and say that she retracted the statement. If, and I do mean IF, she did write this retraction statement, it was AFTER she learnt that the police were dropping the WHOLE investigation, because she hadn’t provided 1 PIECE of evidence. That is right, not one piece of evidence was ever provided.

So, what is Donna Hall hoping for? Well, she will also know the noose is closing on her and her lies and her bent copper(s). Also, in the local rag a while ago she and her cronies tried to suggest the complaint that I made against her and her bent copper(s) mates that had been closed and I wanted a second investigation. Yet more lies! Why, because I have made 1 complaint to GMP and then added another part when further evidence from this compulsive evil malicious liar came to light. Since that time GMP took the serious step of referring themselves to the IOPC because of the serious corruption between Donna Hall and her bent copper mate(s). The IOPC said GMP was able to investigate, which they are doing. So, the fact that Donna Hall says I want another investigation is a lie. I am OK with the investigation that is going on and with the information that I get as a victim, I am happy with what is being found and next steps.

Also, to back up the information I this blog is where she trying to put out that she is the saviour what is her excuse of why the case and bail were dropped against me from her evil malicious lies? Silence, quiet and why? Because I took Greater Manchester Police to the High Court and when the judge asked for an explanation the police legal team saw the state of the case and dropped it immediately.

Is there any apology from the liar? Not on your nelly. But don’t worry we will not let her get away with this and that is why we are using the full weight of the law against her, and her bent cronies.    

Donna Hall complaint closed by GMP

Those that read this blog or follow politics in Wigan know that the former Chief Executive made false allegations to her dodgy bent copper friend to get Peter Franzen, Cllr Bob Brierley, Person X and myself all arrested for stupid vindictive lies.

In the case of Peter Franzen, he was released under investigation after being interviewed by the police in Jan 18.  That is 20 months of being a suspect based on lies. And during all that time not 1 piece of evidence was ever shown to him. That's right not 1 piece of evidence. Donna Hall said her car tyres were slashed 6 times. But no receipts even for tyres were ever produced. No CCTV footage was produced when the allegation was meant to have taken place - although her car was being filmed by CCTV.

Cllr Bob Brierley and person x were arrested in Oct 18. Again, they were arrested for alleged stalking and harassment. They were all released under investigation. Again not 1 pieve of evidence produced.

Then later in Oct 18 yet again Donna Hall got her dodgy copper mate to get 7 coppers to come to my house at midnight in Oct 18 to arrest me for the same.offence. I was released under bail. Bail that I believe was set by Donna Hall before herself. I wrote a blog post on the case here  

I always said that I would not rest till I got the case dropped and Donna Hall arrested for her crimes and corruption. 

This is great news that the truth has come out and no crime was ever committed by the people that Donna alleged and her lies and corruption must now be investigated! 

I can also reveal exclusively, and with the person's permission, that person X was former Cllr Robert Bleakley.

The hounding and harassment that all 4 have suffered from these false and malicious lies have suffered because of Donna Hall cannot and will not be ignored and we will use the law and the courts if necessary to bring justice for us all because of this evil person Donna Hall.

The complaint that I made against the Corrupt officer(s) in Greater Manchester Police is still ongoing and progress and we await the result of that investigation.
